Gear your way to success.

Hi all,
There have been many people asking me how to spec their gears. I'm damage dealer/healer/tanker and i do ladder, clearing all nests mode and ladder over 2000+, thus i know what's needed. I thought i may as well write an article about it to share with all.

No matter you are doing pve or pvp,

Always stack hp:
In an ideal nest/raid, there should be a tanker(hold aggro/threat) and a healer, the rest are pure damage dealer. This is normally a perfect setup. So why there's need for stacking hp?

1) Server lag. How many times have you thought that you dodge a skill only to find out you still taken damage. Boss/player suddenly teleported. You encounter rubber band back to damage spot. With more Hp, you allow more room for technical error.

2) Clergy heal. This class got a skill that can heal up to 9% + xxxx max hp. Example: Player A HP is 20k thus he get heal 1800+xxxx amount. Player B HP is 40k thus he get heal 3600+xxxx amount. So the more HP u have the more heal u gotten.

3)The longer you survive the more damage you deal. Let's take simple case calculation of a boss fight. Player A HP 20k, damage per min 2k. Player B HP 40k, damage per min 1k. Let's say boss deal a 2k per min which u cant run. After 10 mins, Player A die with total damage deal 10x2k=20k. Player B die in 20mins total damage deal 20x1k=20k. Look the same? Add in clergy heal, Player B win in calculation(See above). Beside that, the longer you survive the more buff and debuff u can provide/receive for/from your team. Overall, player B has more advantage.

(* The only case you can forsake HP build is when you can kill boss/player without taken much damage, however such case require no lag/overgear and very skill play or tanker always holding threat/aggro).

Rare or Epic?
Let's compare lv40 shortbow (Destructive):
Different Epic +10 compare rare +12

Physical damage: 66-80
Magic damage: 53-65
Critical: 157
Enhancement physical: -26 to -32
Enchancement magical: -23 to -28

Total different between +12rare and +10epic
Physical : 40 - 52
Magic damage:30 - 37
Critical:157
MP Regen:+1
Strength:+13 (3.25 physical dmg)
Agility:+26 ( 13 physical dmg/91 critical rate)
Intelligence:+10 (5 magical dmg)

Different Epic +9 compare rare +12

Physical damage: 66-80
Magic damage: 53-65
Critical: 157
Enhancement physical: -100 to -123
Enchancement magical: -86 to -105

Total different between +12rare and +9epic
Physical : -34 to -43
Magic damage:-23 to -28
Critical:157
MP Regen:+1
Strength:+13 (3.25 physical dmg)
Agility:+26 ( 13 physical dmg/91 critical rate)
Intelligence:+10 (5 magical dmg)

Conclusion:

It's all boiled down to your gold budget. In my experience, the epic usually cost 2x of the rare cost. The rare potential is easier and cheaper to obtain too.

For amours, if budget allow, i will always recommand epic. Why? Because there are 3 important stats that you can obtain compare to rare. Example: The best potential for acro in rare amour is Agi 4.5% / MaxHp 6.5%, however in epic amour u can obtain Agi 4.5% / Vit 3.25% / MaxHP 6.5%. 1Vit = Est 30 HP. There's quite alot in HP.
